Draw up POSIMIR into a 5-mL syringe using a large-bore needle (16-gauge or larger). Once the syringe has been filled, discard the large-bore needle.

Upon completion of subacromial decompression:

  • Visualize subacromial space directly with camera
  • Insert 18 gauge or larger bore needle through intact skin under continued direct visualization to confirm needle placement in subacromial space
  • Close all arthroscopic port sites after removing camera
  • Administer the entire 5-mL dose of POSIMIR into the subacromial space
POSIMIR® administration for non-opioid pain management following arthroscopic subacromial decompression
